Trout and cranberry bites

Trout and cranberry bites layer smoked trout fillets with tangy cranberry cream cheese—blended from cream cheese, whole cranberries, and seasonings—over Mestemacher pumpernickel slices, garnished with fresh cress for elegant seafood canapés that balance smoky fish with tart berry bursts.
Ingredients:
  • 12 slices of Mestemacher Gourmet wholemeal Classic or Mestemacher Gourmet pumpernickel
  • 1 small cucumber
  • 125 g smoked fillet of trout
  • 200g cream cheese
  • 150g cranberry jam
  • Stalks of chervil for garnishing
Directions:
  1. Generously spread cream cheese on the Gourmet wholemeal slices.
  2. Cut the cucumber into slices and the fillet of trout in chunky pieces.
  3. Put a blob of cranberry jam onto the Gourmet wholemeal slices.
  4. Then garnish with a piece of trout fillet, a slice of cucumber and a chervil stalk.
