Salmon and crab bites

Salmon and crab bites spread horseradish cream on Mestemacher Gourmet pumpernickel and wholemeal Classic slices, layering smoked salmon on 12 Gourmet pieces and crabmeat mixed with chives, crème fraîche, and seasonings on 12 wholemeal slices, garnished with lemon balm for elegant seafood canapés ready in minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 12 slices of Mestemacher Gourmet wholemeal Classic
  • 12 slices of Mestemacher Gourmet pumpernickel
  • 12 slices of smoked salmon
  • 200g North Sea prawns
  • 1 glass of horseradish cream
  • 1 boiled egg
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 half of a lemon
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon of dill
  • salt and pepper
  • stalks of chervil for garnishing
Directions:
  1. Spread the horseradish cream onto the Gourmet pumpernickel and wholemeal Classic slices.
  2. Place the smoked salmon onto 12 Gourmet slices of pumpernickel. Then garnish the salmon bites with a stalk of chervil and slice of egg.
  3. Season the North Sea prawns with salt, pepper, dill and lemon juice and place them on the 12 wholemeal slices. Cut the red onion into rings. Cut the lemon into slices and subsequently quarter it. Garnish the crab bites with onion rings and lemon quarters.
