Mini Cheeseburger Skewers

Mini cheeseburger skewers stack 12 round wholemeal Mestemacher bread slices into towers alternating cucumber slices, tomato slices, mini meatballs, and cheese slices, secured with toothpicks for bite-sized, savory party appetizers ready in minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 12 slices of Mestemacher Gourmet wholemeal Classic
  • 350g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 clove of garlic, pressed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bunch of parsley, chopped
  • 2 ½ tablespoon of bread crumbs
  • 8 cocktail tomatoes
  • ½ cucumber
  • 2 slices of Gouda cheese
  • salt
  • pepper
  • toothpicks
Directions:
  1. Peel the onion and dice finely.
  2. Season the minced meat with salt and pepper, thoroughly knead in the pressed clove of garlic, finely chopped parsley, diced onion, egg and bread crumbs.
  3. Form 12 small meatballs with the meat mixture and fry in a pan on both sides, using a little bit of olive oil. Then set aside to cool down slightly.
  4. Cut the cucumber and cocktail tomatoes into slices.
  5. Cut the Gouda slices into triangles.
  6. Layer 12 round wholemeal bread slices into a tower with alternating cucumber and tomato slices, meatballs and cheese slices.
  7. Fixate with a toothpick.
