Mediterranean Dips

Mediterranean dips burst with sun-kissed olive, feta, and herb vibrancy paired with a high-protein crunch from Carl Brandt bread, offering effortless, crowd-pleasing spreads perfect for mezze platters, pita dips, or party appetizers that fuel gatherings with authentic zest and sustained energy.
Ingredients:
Mousse from feta cheese with olives and lime juice
  • 250 g feta cheese
  • 200 g garlic olives
  • 1 fistful raisins
  • 2 tablespoonful roast pine nuts
  • juice of 1 lime
Avocado dip with fresh lime juice
  • 2 soft avocados
  • 2 small fresh red chillies
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 150 g sour cream
  • coriander
Aioli
  • 5 big cloves of garlic
  • 1 glass mayonnaise (250 g)
  • curry and pepper to taste
Directions:
Mousse from feta cheese with olives and lime juice 
  1. Purée all ingredients in a mixer.
  2. Who likes may add a dash of Ouzo.
Avocado dip with fresh lime juice
  1. Peel avocados and press through a big colander.
  2. Dice chillies (very small pieces) and add to avocados.
  3. Wash 2 spring onions well, dice, too, and add to the mixture.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil, one knife point coriander and 150g sour cream, then stir.
  5. Finally season with the juice of one freshly squeezed lime. Serve immediately, as avocados turn dark quickly.
Variation: Dip may also be prepared in a mixer. However, be careful! Chillies may turn extremely hot this way!

Aioli
  1. Crush gloves of garlic finely.
  2. Add garlic to mayonnaise, stir and taste with some curry and pepper.
