Laroshell was one of the brands of the “Delitzscher Schokoladenfabrik” which has been producing chocolate specialties since the turn of the 20th century, near Leipzig, Germany. In 2008, Halloren, Germany’s oldest chocolate factory, dating back to 1804, took over the Delitzscher Schokoladenfabrik, making Laroshell one of several brands still marketed successfully worldwide.
Best-sellers include brandy beans and brandy cherries, available in two sizes each to meet everyone’s needs. Both the brandy beans and the brandy cherries are covered in bittersweet chocolate, and the brandy cherries have an actual whole cherry in the center.
Also, in the liqueur-filled selection, “Obstbrände,” fruit brandy-filled Fairtrade chocolates with a sugar crust and hazelnut pieces in the chocolate coating. Half of the pralines inside the gift box are covered with milk chocolate and half are covered with bittersweet chocolate.
